Abstract
Reforming the church is a permanent challenge for responsible management and for practical theological reflection – both within the church and in academic contexts. How can theological thought contribute to the actual process on the one side, but maintain its distance and theoretical qualities on the other? The article discusses this problem in respect to the much debated future of the local parish church.
