Abstract

Michael D. King has begun work as senior project scientist for NASA's Earth Observing System at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. King previously served as deputy team leader for the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) science team and is a member of the science team for the Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) instrument. He is also adjunct professor of Atmospheric Science, Department of Oceanography, at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.He received his degree in physics from Colorado College in 1971 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in atmospheric sciences from the University of Arizona in 1973 and 1977, respectively.
