Abstract
During the last eight years the utilization of monoclonal antibodies (MAb) has changed the concepts of lymphocyte development and the methods for investigating cell kinetics in inflammatory and immunoreactive lymphoid cell populations. In order to establish new concepts on lymphocyte development and function finely dissected observations have been accumulated with the help of the new reagents. The potential chaos of producing and using thousands of MAb under different names has been averted.
