Abstract
Kinetics of secondary mullite formation in kaolin–Al2O3 ceramics have been studied. The activation energy of secondary mullite formation has been evaluated by the Johnson–Mehl–Avrami equation, giving 454.6 kJ/mol. The growth morphology parameter, n, and TEM observation reveal the morphology evolution.
