Abstract
We have proven cluster nucleation with the decomposition of nickel alloy solid solution upon quenching cooling numerically and experimentally. The initial cluster sizes, the nucleation time, and the growth time of clusters with average sizes, as well as the formation time for a fixed volume fraction of the phase during thermal exposure, have been calculated via a method adopted earlier [1, 5]. The data allow one to plot the isothermal decay diagrams (TTT diagrams) to optimize the modes of thermal exposure of alloys.
