Abstract
The anodic oxidation of niobium is carried out at different current densities and temperatures in 0.1 N oxalic acid solution by eliminating the difference in film growth caused by different surface conditions. The Tafel slope is found to be independent of temperature but decreases with increase in current density. Dewald's double-barrier theory of ionic conduction has been examined critically.
