Abstract

The process of gas hydrate film growth along the water–gas interface is analyzed. It is assumed that the driving force of this process is the concentration driving force. The available experimental data on the kinetics of the process under consideration are compared to calculated data obtained in the framework of the theoretical model proposed earlier. The dependence of the thickness of the film of carbon dioxide hydrate on the concentration driving force is determined as a result.
