Abstract

AbstractAdsorption of Pb (II) on used tea leaves and Cr (VI) on acacia arabica bark after chemical pretreatment exhibit nearly first‐order reversible reaction kinetics in wastewater treatment. Adsorption follows Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Effective parameters such as initial metal‐ion concentration, adsorption dosage, and size of adsorbent particles have been correlated to enable prediction of the equilibrium adsorption of metal ions within a maximum deviation of ± 10% from experimental data.
