Abstract

The electromagnetic fields created by an arbitraty distribution of sources in a semibounded plasma with random Scattering of charged particles by the boundary surface are calculated. A model boundary condition is employed that ensures simultaneously preservation of the number of particles and the absence of particle flow through the boundary. The electric-susceptibility tensors, surface impedances, and coefficients of reflection of plane electromagnetic waves from a plasma half-space are found. Invariance of the distributions of s-polarized electromagnetic waves with respect to the selected model of a randomly scattering boundary is established.
