Abstract

Abstract The kinetics of denaturation of tobacco mosaic virus coat protein has been studied by a stopped-flow spectropolarimeter. The time courses of ellipticity change at 222 nm suggest the denaturation of TMV protein by guanidinium chloride or urea to be a pseudo-first order reaction.
