Abstract

Kinetic measurements have been made with thermogravimetry for UT-3 thermochemical hydrogen production cycle from water. Due to the differences of molar volume between reactant- and product-solid the structural change of pellet was found to occur in cyclic operation, leading to the influential hindrance against chemical conversion. By introducing a new pelletizing process based on alkoxide method a considerable increase in overall reaction rate was achieved.
