Abstract

DSC curves of trimethylindium were recorded at different heating rates and crucible loading densities. The two dominating exothermic bands were kinetically analysed by fitting a two-step reaction model of first-order to the deconvoluted DSC data. The kinetic parameters, calculated at low loading densities, are log z 1 = 18.3 ± 0.2 s −1, E 1 = 215.4 ± 0.8 kJ/mol and log z 2 = 9.3 ±0.2 s −1, E 2 = 139.2 ± 0.8 kJ/mol.
