Abstract

The kinetics of the dissolution of Zn-containing waste of brass production in sulfuric acid is investigated. It is proved that dissolution proceeds in two stages. Optimal conditions of obtaining zinc sulfate from mentioned waste are found. According to proposed recommendations, zinc vitriol of commercial grade corresponding to GOST (State Standard) requirements is obtained.
