Abstract
This article is concerned with the study of entropy solutions of the scalar conservation law ∂tu+divxA(x,u)=0. The main novelty of our work lies in the fact that the flux A is allowed to depend on the space variable x. We introduce a kinetic formulation for this equation, proven to be equivalent to the usual entropy inequalities. We check the existence and uniqueness of weak L1 solutions of the scalar law.
