Abstract

The technique of automatic continuous addition of reagent has been applied for the determination of zineb in pesticides. The method is based on photometric monitoring of the fast complexation reaction between zinc(II) and Zincon. The special feature of the technique is the direct kinetic measurement, which provides a highly selective determination of zineb at μg/ml levels. The sampling rate of 140 samples/hr makes the method very useful in routine analysis for this pesticide in vine and olive leaves.
