Abstract

ABSTRACTKinetic analysis on pyrolysis of fermentation residue (FR) and phenolic resin (PR) was conducted through Coats–Redfern method. It was found that the pyrolysis of FR in the conversion range of 10–50% is a diffusion controlled process; while in higher range of 50–75%, phase boundary and self-catalysis models fit the experiments best but in minus activation energies. The pyrolysis of PR in the range of 25–75% can well be expressed by diffusion models. That means the pyrolysis of FR is much more complex than that of PR, though their organic structures are similar.
