Abstract

An analytic continuation procedure is proposed for cross-sections and density matrix elements to discuss their possible kinematical singularities. As expected, the s channel cross-section even when expressed in terms of the t channel amplitudes is free from kinematical singularities in the t variable whereas the density matrix elements in the Jackson frame can be singular at the t channel thresholds and pseudothresholds.
