Abstract

In this study, human gait was modeled as three degrees of freedom and kinematic analysis was carried out through this model. As a result of forward and inverse kinematic analysis, closed solution equations are obtained. In simulation environment, gait is divided into different phases and derived equations are input to gait model. According to simulation results, the correctness of the derived equations is visualized by graphical outputs. In addition, the coordinates of the axis of the foot position information are given. These kinematic analyzes, which are frequently used in video processing technology and animation branches, are handled in the closed form solution in this paper and more reliable results are obtained than numerical approaches.
