AbstractGas Utilities (MIC: SIC: 4922 NAIC: 486210)Kinder Morgan Energy Partners is a pipeline transportation and energy storage company in North America. Co.'s pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide and other products, and its terminals store petroleum products and chemicals and handle bulk materials like coal and petroleum coke. In addition, Co. is a provider of carbon dioxide (CO2), for enhanced oil recovery projects in North America. As of Dec 31 2007, Co. owned an interest or operated over 25,000 miles of pipelines and approximately 165 terminals. Co. conducts its business through five reportable business segments: Products Pipelines, Natural Gas Pipelines, CO2, Terminals, and Trans Mountain.
