Abstract

Background: Kimura's disease is still of unknown aetiology but chronic inflammation, immunological, allergic or even neoplastic backgrounds have been considered. Typically, it presents in the head and neck region; the major salivary glands being a highlighted region in the literature. It is most common throughout Japanese and Chinese males in the 2-3rd decade of life.
