Abstract
The paper has to do with the problem of the collocation of dimension adjectives describing body parts in the Chinese and Polish. Lexemes gowa (tu) and serce (xn) have been chosen arbitrarily as examples of the issue. The semantic differences in the collocation of dimensive adjectives and selected lexemes observed as a result of the contrastive analysis are interpreted with reference to two cultural paradigms (Polish and Chinese ones).
