Abstract

Abstract The kibbutz is a self‐contained collective community which developed its settlement amidst a man‐made park landscape. This society's value system of equality and direct democracy developed concurrently with the reclamation of a depleted landscape, the planting of trees and gardening. The characteristic features of the kibbutz park landscape clearly reveals this society's ideology.
