Abstract
I am writing about two international conferences I have attended recently. These are the “Forecasting Financial Markets” Conference held in London, 29-31 May and “European Financial Management Association Meeting” held in Copenhagen, 6-9 June. I give summaries of work related to Turkey that was presented and discussed in those two conferences. The person mentioned in the title is a kebab shop owner that represents the traditional Turkish hospitality. Regrettably the ethical roots of this type of behaviour is not integrated into the models we develop and test for Turkey.
