Abstract

White House science adviser George A. Keyworth II will leave his position by the end of the year. Keyworth, 46, has been head of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) since May 1981, 5 months after President Ronald Reagan took office. According to an OSTP spokesman, Keyworth plans to start a business that will set up systems for other businesses to gather and analyze information, for example, about the impacts of new technology and about potential markets in foreign countries.
