Abstract
The article presents the main trends in the ethnic dynamics of the city of Novosibirsk since its foundation. Some historical prerequisites for the formation of large ethnic diasporas on the territory of the modern Novosibirsk region are also given. The influence of significant historical events in the country and the world on the formation of the interethnic community of the city is shown. Special attention is paid to the vectors of ethnic dynamics in their semantic connection with historical events.
