Abstract
Realistic humanoid 3D character movement plays a very crucial role in the computer games, movies, virtual reality and mixed reality environment. However, the poses of the 3D character contains large amount of dimensional data arising from joint rotations, body positions and orientations. This paper proposes a technique to deform different motion styles by editing the specific key poses of 3D character movements via computer animation system. This unique method allows humanoid characters to respond naturally based on the inputs of user motions. Unlike an existing editor of 3D humanoid character motion, the proposed method produces realistic final result and simulates new dynamic humanoid motion style based on simple user interface control.
