Abstract
With the increasing of renewable energy integration and power system scale, key node identification according to operating state is very important to meet the requirements of real-time control of large power system. Based on derivation of the phase angle-active power sensitivity from the Jacobian matrix, characteristic matrix reflecting the coupling degree between nodes is defined and taken as the clustering similarity. Affinity Propagation(AP) clustering is applied to determine the cluster centers as key nodes in the corresponding state. The simulation study results on New England 39 bus system demonstrate that key nodes in power grid can be effectively identified by AP clustering and the method proposed in this paper is feasible.
