Kesulitan Belajar Matematika Siswa SMA pada Pokok Bahasan Persamaan Trigonometri di Kampung Pasanggrahan

Abstract

Many factors cause the low learning ability of students in mathematics. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' difficulties in solving problems on the material of Trigonometric Equations. The type of research used is qualitative research. This research was conducted in the village of Pasanggrahan, Garut. The research subjects were four high school students of class XI who were taken randomly. The data collection techniques in this study were observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used were test question sheets and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that students have difficulty in solving a basic trigonometric equation, difficulty in modeling problems related to trigonometric equations, and difficulty in determining a trigonometric equation and the set of solutions.
