Abstract

This research is motivated by problems that indicate the low readiness of students in participating in industrial work practices, this can be seen from the low knowledge (cognitive), attitude (affective), skills (psychomotor). This study aims to reveal the readiness of students' competence in Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik (TITL) at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, and the subjects of this research are the students of class XII TITL with 31 respondents. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. This research was conducted to find out the value of independent variables without making comparisons or combining one variable with another variable. So it can be said that the level of student work readiness after carrying out internships is quite sufficient in terms of three aspects of readiness, namely (a) Knowledge readiness (cognitive), (b) Attitude readiness (affective), and (c) Skill readiness (psychomotor). Therefore, it is necessary to examine the improvement of each student's ability to be further improved and an evaluation is needed to improve the application of industrial work practices in the next semester.
