Abstract

We have analyzed Kerker’s conditions for chiral particles. When these conditions are fulfilled, we show, based on the Mie theory, that the scattering of circularly polarized light by chiral particles produces an enhancement of the spin to orbital angular momentum conversion in comparison to non chiral particles. The origin of the enhancement is discussed, showing that for chiral particles present a maximum under the Kerker’s conditions at a specific radius.
