Abstract

The nucleon-nucleon scattering is analysed by the Kemmer-Fermi-Yang (KFY) theory. The singularities and the extraordinary terms in the KFY equation are investigated. And the necessity of the contribution of the isospinI=1 scalar-meson exchange, as well as that ofI = 0 scalar meson, is suggested. The phase shifts of the energyElab = (0/500) MeV, the scattering length and the effective range of the proton-neutron scattering are also calculated.
