Abstract

Creating healthy work environments is a collective and an individual responsibility. It requires collaborative efforts of employers and employees, health and care managers, healthcare assistants (HCAs) and assistant practitioners (APs). There is much that can be learnt from one another. Several aspects of legislation are in place that compel organisations and individuals to ensure a safe working environment. This article provides a discussion regarding health and safety at work, with a focus on stress, its impact and its management.
