Abstract

Introduction Opioids, play a vital role in the treatment of acute post-surgical pain. While steps have been taken to address the opioid epidemic such as reducing prescription qualities, limited data on this approach is available. Previous studies suggest that despite the reduction in prescriptions, many opioids written for acute post-operative pain remain unused.
