Abstract

Someone actively working in the field of energetics may find deficiencies in content or, perhaps, error in fact in the book. I am not in a position to judge that. I do feel that the title, and especially the way it is displayed on the cover, exaggerates the scope of the book. The book focuses on energetics. It does not cover all aspects of the early life history of fishes. I credit the copy editor for his excellent work in making transparent the fact that English is not Dr. Kamler's native language. Those efforts far outweigh the annoyance of several typesetting
