Abstract
This comment focuses on the violent and inaccurate use of international economic law and of the notion of boycott by the 2016 UK Public Procurement Note as a political strategy to avoid moral and political actions at the sub-national level. By showing the partiality of the PPN, it claims that UK town halls and other public actors should not be afraid to exercise their contracting power and autonomy but should, at best, construct rules that will easily the minimum threshold introduced by international economic law.
