Abstract
Women protection from practices of violence has been stipulated in many international and national laws. Apart from this, there are still many violence against women, in particular in South Sulawesi and North Sumatera Provinces. This study discusses the implementation of laws on women protection from violence in both provinces from the perspective of law enforcement concept. The study comes to conclusion that law enforcers in both provinces have performed many efforts to protect women from various acts of violence. it is also found that there are some problems in the implementation of various respected laws related with the regional government regulations in lieu of the various laws, as well as with the performance of law enforces and women as victims of violence in the two provinces.
