Abstract

The world today is facing a Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 situation has affected various aspects of human life including Quranic study activities that must be conducted online. OUM Kelantan has implemented the PdP process online for its students, including students who follow the Bachelor of Islamic Studies program involved in the subject of Quranic Study. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of online Quran Study for OUM Kelantan students because before this the PdP process was implemented face to face. Descriptive questionnaire method was used in this quantitative study to obtain the desired dataIn this study, a total of 50 OUM Kelantan students from Kota Bharu Learning Center who followed the Bachelor of Islamic Studies program who are required to take the subject of Quranic Studies were involved as respondents of the study. Question items for this study were calculated based on Likert scale scores. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21.0 was used to analyze the data and presented descriptively in the form of graphs and tables that include frequency, percentage and mean. The findings of the study showed that the effectiveness of online Quran study reached an average mean of 3.72. In general, the findings of the analysis found that the respondents had expressed a good view of the scope of the study with a mean average at a high level. This study can help provide an overview of the study of the Quran online and the competencies associated with it as well as determine the effectiveness of study with this method.
