Abstract
A new algorithm has been developed for rigorous two phase flash calculations. It avoids the need to compute bubble points and dew points that are sometimes required to locate phase regions. Not having to extrapolate property models to extreme dew point or bubble point conditions, this method is faster and more stable than those currently in use.
