Kashmiri Pandits in Retrospect and their Socio-Biological Diversity

Abstract

The history of kashmiri Pandits in India has always been very complex because of their constant interaction with the migrating people from across the northern border of India and also because of political turmoil in the Kashmir valley for the past 250 years. Incidentally, these processes have lead them to undergo a substantial social, demographic and genetic ttranformation, present paper is an attempt in this direction to highlight the social, demographic and biological changes on account or the past history and their earlier mass exodus from the valley.
