Abstract
According to Karl Rahner, every true act of love of God is also love of neighbour. Yet, every act of love of God is not also an act of love of neighbour. Is Rahner's position tenable? Does Rahner confuse or conflate the two loves? Exploring the many facets of Rahner's understanding of the 'radical unity' of the love of God and neighbour, the author argues it is both theologically cogent and pastorally exigent in light of the signs of the times.
