Abstract

The article presents the scientific career of the historian of modern times in the PRL period of Celina Bobińska. Issues of her acquiring subsequent academic degrees, the leadership of the Chair of History of Modern and New Poland and the relations with some historians from the Cracow environment were raised. In addition, Bobińska’s involvement in the First Congress of Polish Science and the Otwock conference as a representative of the Cracow milieu was presented at that time.
