Abstract

Thyroid nodules is a common disorder and often cause no significant complaints in the thyroid gland. Approximately 5-10% of thyroid nodules is a neoplasm both benign and malignant, in which the state is dependent on the age of the patient and the size of thyroid nodules. To determine the characteristics of patients with thyroid nodules who get operative action in Denpasar Sanglah Hospital. This descriptive cross-sectional study. Samples taken from patient registration thyroid nodules in the PA FK.Unud / Sanglah Hospital 2011-2013. It was found that the majority of thyroid nodules in women than men with a ratio of women from male 3.5: 1, while based on the largest age group at the age of 30-39 years in the amount of 29.09% and are found most to farmers in the amount of 40%. Most operative action that is isthmolobektomi of 57.58%, with most solid-shaped nodules in the amount of 89.70% and the least in the form of cystic by 10.30% and the ratio of the size of thyroid nodules between minus diameter of 5 cm than more than 5 cm is 2: 1. Histopathology examination results are the most malignant of 85.45%.
