Abstract
This study deals with the digestion tract content and feeding properties of Tinca tinca living in Kapulukaya Dam Lake. There were 386 Tinca tinca hunted between November 2001 and October 2002. 61.92 % of all the fish hunted had filled digestion tracts. The ratio of the fish with filled tracts reached its maximum in September with 95.24 %. The digestive tract content of the fish contained zooplanctonic (Cladocera, Copepoda, Rotatoria, Ostracoda), bentic (Diptera, Oligochaeta, Gastropoda) and phythoplanctonic (Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Bacillariophyta, Euglenophyta) organisms, plant residues and detritus. In the tract content, zooplanctonic organisms have been found dominantly during spring, summer and winter months where bentic organisms found dominantly during autumn and summer months.
