Abstract

The first result of the production of kaonic nuclei by the (K - , n) reaction is presented. The spectra strongly indicate that the antikaon nuclear potential is strongly attractive which seem to contradict to many theoretical predictions. It suggests that the so-called kaon condensation is taking place in the core of neutron stars.
