Abstract

Many of mobile commerce application are used to support business process over the internet to be more efficient. However, the interface design of mobile applications lack of considering consumer perspective into design process, so this made problems to attractive more consumer to be participated in business over internet. This paper reports an attempt to discover these implicit needs based on consumers's emotion and how it relates to the design of mobile commerce application by the adoption of Kansei Engineering. The objective is to analyze and find the critical elements to build consumer oriented mobile commerce application. The five popular mobile commerce applications were used as specimen in the Kansei evaluation. The result of this research told that Kansei Engineering was one of tool to determine significant elements in designing mobile application interface.
