Abstract

Fibre reinforced plastics are important light weight materials for aviation and aerospace. Their water content changes the physical and mechanical properties. DSC measurements on CFRP of epoxy BMI and PEEK matrices determine the mechanism of additional water adsorption of water saturated specimen under cyclic thermal load. Different phases of water in nano pores are detected.
