Abstract

A stochastic inverse boundary element method (SIEM) is developed for determination of three-dimensional (3D) flaws, stochastic boundary traction (load) and structural reliability parameters. SIBEM includes the direct solution of stochastic boundary element (SBEM) and the inverse analysis. Minimizing the difference of the initial guess and the objective values by Kalman filtering algorithm, makes it possible to predict the stochastic boundary loads, as well as to determinate the defects and the structural reliability. Two numerial examples, which show the effectiveness of this paper, including the determination of unknown defects and unknown parameter distribution of random boundary traction, are presented and discussed.
