Abstract

Allergen-induced dual skin reactions have often been described, but the underlying pathomechanisms are not known. Using the skin blister technique we could show that during the initial wheal and flare reactions (WFR) factors are formed which are responsible for the following late cutaneous reactions (LCR) [1]. In order to identify these factors we tested suction blister fluid (SBF) taken from allergen-induced dual skin reactions and from normal skin for kallikrein activity using previously described methods.
