Abstract
Modelling Study of Trip Attraction to Office Building ( Case Study Surakarta City ). Thesis Department of Civil Engineering,Faculty of Engineering,Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. One of transportation issues such as traffic jam often occurs in urban areas of Indonesia such as Surakarta. The transportation issue could be dealt with by a good transportation planning. The most popular and often-used transportation planningis the 4-stage one. One of stages in this planning was trip generation and attraction analysis. Office buildings are one of land use order that canresult on large trip attraction, recalling that many urban people work in formal sector. This research was conducted to obtain a trip attraction modeltoward office buildings in Surakarta City. The data was collected by surveying the number of vehicles entering the office building. This studymade trip attraction (Y) as dependent variable, and land width (X1), building floor width (X2) and employee number (X3) as independent ones. The data analysis was conducted using a multiple linear regression with enter and stepwise methods with SPSS program help. From the result ofstatistic analysis and land use order, it could be concluded that equation: Y = 39.112 + 0.007 X2 in which, Y = trip attraction number(SMP/hour), X2 = building floor width (m2) constituted the most appropriate equation to be used as the trip attraction model to office buildings.
