Abstract
SummaryKaisodi virus was initially isolated in 1957 from ticks, Haemaphysalis spinigera, collected in the Kyasanur Forest disease area of Shimoga District, Mysore State, India. Twenty-eight additional strains were recovered from H. spinigera in the same area from 1960 through 1964. No positive information on vertebrate host involvement has been obtained.
